Tachyon Field: Ability to generate a tachyon energy field from within his body. Though he can focus this energy through anything, he typically focuses this field through his sword; allowing it to cut through almost any substance

"Tachyon Dam" Storyline/Plot point:

Think of the damn as the HAARP frequency fence around earth

"...create a Tachyon Dam to prevent Kang or Immortus from interferring.^[6]...so they could be delivered to a new paradise, Planet X.^[5]^[8]^[9]...Thanks to their Tachyon Dam, neither Kang nor Immortus could travel to the past to stop the Twins.^[7]^[6]...In a divergent timeline, their plan would have succeeded, but intervention from Kang and his Chronos Corps sent the minds of the Avengers Unity Division back in time, bypassing the Twins' Tachyon Dam, to thwart their plan.^[15]

"In order to prevent Kang, or any other time travelers from going back in time and stopping them, the twins also constructed a tachyon dam that protected the entire timeline.... he and his forces were unable to affect changes in the present day thanks to the tachyon dam...However he and his forces were unable to affect changes in the present day thanks to the tachyon dam. About a decade later, the mutants had established themselves on a new world called Planet X. By this time both Havok and the Wasp had gotten married and had a human child named Katie. In order to create a safer world for their daughter, Alex and Janet managed to destroy the tachyon dam that existed in their era, allowing Kang and his Chronos Corps to breach that point in history, which allowed them to also recruit Thor to their cause.^[145] Kang came up with a plan to restore the Earth, but with the tachyon dam in the past preventing them from going further, Kang came up with a plan to send the minds of the surviving members of the Avengers Unity team into their past bodies and preventing the destruction of Earth...As Thor wounded Exitar, the other members of the Unity Team destroyed the tachyon dam, allowing Kang and his forces to arrive in that era."

"Having only Hank McCoy as an ally, the couple struggle to survive for years, being the only ones who knew about Eimin's true story and unable to time-travel due to a Tachyon Dam device. Moreover, Janet had a child with Havok, named Katie. One day, when fighting X-Force, Janet was apprehended by Magneto, but not before destroying the Tachyon Dam. The hopeless war could change after Thor and Kang the Conqueror, alongside the latter's Chronos Corps, joined forces with Havok to depose Eimin and restore history.^[239]"

they were able to activate a Tachyon Dam in that timeline which prevented interlopers from other moments from physically travelling to it...Thor executed Uriel in an attempt to recollect Jarbjorn and stop Exitar, while Captain America and the Wasp made an attempt to ruin the Tachyon Dam.^[14]... The Wasp, Havok and Beast were the only surviving free Avengers who could avenge Earth. At the cost of the Wasp's freedom, they overcame Magneto's X-Force to destroy the Tachyon Dam. This allowed Thor, Kang the Conqueror and his Chrono Corps to access Planet X to stop Eimin.^[16]...the Avengers also deactivated the Tachyon Dam

After Thor and Wasp learned from Uatu the Watcher that the arrival of Exitar was caused by the Apocalypse Twins with the use of Jarnbjorn, he tried to reclaim said weapon from them, while Wasp attempted to destroy the Tachyon Dam, a device which prevented any time-travel, so the Avengers could get help from Immortus. ...Planet X, and finally managed to destroy the Tachyon Dam, allowing Kang and the Chronos Corps, a team Thor was now part of, to arrive.^[6]
